Jeff Lathrop, CPAAudit Member
His duties include client relations and issue resolutions throughout all functions of the audit. In addition, he also ensures that each engagement is properly staffed with the required experience and abilities, reviewing financial statements, and meeting all applicable audit and tax deadlines. Throughout his engagements, Jeff is in contact with his clients and audit teams to ensure exceptional client service is provided. In addition, he provides a resource for the client concerning acquisition and rehabilitation strategies and accounting treatment of complex transactions.
Jeff’s past experience was with the international public accounting firm Ernst & Young, LLP at their audit practice in Indianapolis. At Ernst & Young, LLP, he primarily performed work on manufacturing and broadcasting clients. Jeff was very involved in the timely reporting of companies’ SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, S-4, Offering Memorandum, etc). In addition, Jeff was thoroughly involved in and helped his clients through their internal control reporting transition under Section 404 for the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.
Jeff is also responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of DOZ’s annual housing conference.
